Our September clay day!

Rather earlier in the month than usual, we were treated to a superb two part demonstration by Maria Beremska showing us how to make delicate and delightful hollow beads.

Maria displayed numerous examples of her beautiful work and her demo was very clear and detailed. She works with such precision and never wastes clay (how we all wish we could be so thrifty).

She explained all the steps in detail, including how to make a veneer and the incorporation of a small channel for stringing the beads.

After her first demo Maria helped us individually to achieve a result. Some exquisite beads were produced by the end of the day which will hopefully be on display on the Show and Tell table at our next meeting.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day and Maria’s demo was warmly praised. Thank you, Maria.

The day was very well attended and the work on display on the Show and Tell table was, as always, fascinating, leading to lots of discussion and sharing of ideas.

The atmosphere throughout the day was warm, creative and fun and there was a great deal of sharing of ideas and experiences.
