About this event
For this Clay Day, we will be making clock faces and surrounds for clocks.
Clock mechanisms will be provided, though you are welcome to bring your own. They are inexpensive and we make no guarantee as to how long they will last. We will be sharing tips and techniques to help you build your clock but you will be in charge of the design. The will have some examples to inspire you.
AGENDA:
10:00 - 10:30 Arrive, greetings, Set up
10:30 - 12:30 Make, experiment, ask questions.
13:00 - 14:30 Continue to make
14:30 - Break for Show and Tell a place to ask questions on how others made their pieces and get advice on your own.
15:00 - 16:00 Continue to make and finish with a review of the day's results.
TOOL LIST:
Along with the standard published list if you have any of the following please bring along:
- Scrap clay - you may need to build the foundation of your clock
- Any sculpting tools you may have - especially the ‘dentist’ kind, those with the ball ends
- Anything you like to make textures with
- Alcohol inks/ mica powders (not essential).
