About this event
For this Clay Day, we will be taking inspiration from an image.
Interesting images, randomly chosen, will be sent out to attendees before the meeting. We hope this will give you a chance to come up with some ideas in advance. Choose any part of the image to work on.
10:00 - 10:30 Arrive, greetings, Set up
10:30 - 12:30 Make, experiment, ask questions.
13:00 - 14:30 Continue to make
14:30 - Break for Show and Tell a place to ask questions on how others made their pieces and get advice on your own.
15:00 - 16:00 Continue to make and finish with a review of the day's results.
Along with the standard published list if you have any of the following please bring along:
- Scrap clay - mud or even better the ends of canes ‘unmudded’ (if that’s a thing)
- Any sculpting tools you may have - especially the ‘dentist’ kind, those with the ball ends (sorry Ruth - if you know the proper names please can you change). But we will have a range you can borrow on the day if necessary.
- Small acrylic square
- Anything you like to make textures with
- Alcohol inks/ mica powders (not essential).
