Internationally known polymer clay artist, Sarah Shriver is visiting Europe from America in Spring 2013, and the London Polymer Clay Group is taking the opportunity to host two fabulous workshops -
KALEIDOSCOPE CANE – SATURDAY 6TH APRIL 2013
BIG BEAD-REVERSE INLAY – SUNDAY 7TH APRIL 2013
Sarah creates amazing complex canes that she uses to make her stunning jewellery. With Sarah’s guidance and humour we will also create fantastic canes to make beads and pendants.
Kaleidoscope Cane: Sarah will teach how to create a polymer clay cane with the illusion of depth and movement by using a repeat interlocking pattern and the Skinner blend. Then she will show ways of kaleidoscoping the image to create infinite and intricate variations.
Big Bead – Reverse Inlay: Sarah will focus on how to make colourful big beads with cores of “Ultra-Light” clay in great new shapes! Make intricate canes before applying them as veneers to baked and unbaked forms. Then pinch, carve, inlay and back-fill to get a variety of fun big beads with strong graphic interest.
The two workshops are different so you could do one or treat yourself to both.
