To keep ones’ art young, one must imitate young animals. What do they do? They play’.                                    Alexander Calder 1898-1976

I describe my pieces as small kinetic sculptures reflecting my background in figurative sculpture. I often use precious metal clay (fine silver) and polymer clay. Although very different, both are new and vibrant materials which offer opportunities to create shape and form through modelling using my hands and a few simple tools. I enjoy playing with contrasting textures and colours, with negative space and scale.
